The Statement Door series is an easy to specify semi-custom door line that allows you to upgrade your partition system with little effort or cost.  You can add a graphic or a decretive molding to the door and easily change the feel of the restroom.  Everyone uses the restroom and many owners would like to make it a more inviting and personal space. This is an inexpensive, quick way to achieve just that.

Engravings

Choose from one of our artist inspired designs or send us your own idea.  We have more than 20 preprogrammed designs that can be specified and added to your door with ease.  Or, send us your own design idea and we will work with you to ensure a successful application.

Considerations:

Color: We are removing the color layer of laminate or phenolic and exposing the underling core color.  This means laminate will expose a dark brown outline and phenolic a black outline.  Choose a laminate/phenolic color that will highlight/compliment this line color.  Hint: typically lighter colors work best.

Door Sizes:  Toilet partition door typically come in two sizes.  Standard (24”) and ADA (36”).  When submitting a door design, keep in mind that the door width changes but the door height does not. This may cause some sizing/layout difficulties.  Typically it is easiest to work on the ADA door first and then modify the design to a more narrow width for the standard door. 

 

Logos:  Must be in line art form.  Engraving limits us to the laminate/phenolic color and the core line colors only.  Multi color logos must be reduced to these two colors. 

Moldings

Many people want to add depth to the partitions.  This can easily be accomplished by applying moldings and/or trims.  The look adds elegance and sophistication to the room that can be achieved in no other way.  We start with a molding and/or trim and clad it with I-Noc, 8.5 mil vinyl film. This laminated molding is then chemically adhered to the plastic laminate/phenolic door to create an upscale, water and chemical resistant, door and molding.

Considerations:

Moldings:  Any molding can be specified however the more complex the profile the more difficult and costly the cladding process.  We offer standard profiles that can be finished in the most cost efficient manner.

Colors: Although I-Noc film comes in over 500 colors and patterns and plastic laminate is available in a similar number there are surprisingly few matches.  We offer 8 close solid color matches.  You may also consider using a contrast or complimentary color scheme for your design.

 

Patterns: I-noc film is not available in any matching pattern of plastic laminate/phenolic. Some wood-grain patterns may be close.  Please call for samples if attempting to match a laminate wood-grain or pattern.

 

Ironwood continues to work on expanding the Statement Series door line. Other custom designs that are currently available are included below.  We will continue to add specifications as they become available.

 

 

Custom Laminates 

Laminate/phenolic partitions are not limited to square shapes.  We can and will offer shapes that have not been traditionally seen in the partition industry.  If you have a design theme such as a wave running throughout your building, perhaps we can incorporate it into the partition system.  We can shape the material according to your imagination.

Custom Inserts

The idea of mixing materials has rarely been applied to partitions until now.  Ironwood is currently working on cutting shapes out of a laminated or phenolic door and inserting the same shape of a different material in the void.  The vision: to insert materials such as 3-Form, Lumicore, Solid Surface, Granite, Marble, Concrete, Stainless Steel and others.

We are seeing more and more mixed use of materials within the same assembly.  Granite panels and pilasters combined with a stainless steel door, laminate pilasters and doors mixed with dry erase panels, solid phenolic panels and pilasters matched with a solid wood door.  Call us to see if it is possible to make your mixture of materials into a unique and inspiring way to bring life into the most design neglected room in a building.
